Company Taxation Officer

About the role

The Falkland Islands Government is seeking to recruit a Company Taxation Officer who will join the team in the Falklands on a contract of up to 4 years. You will be one of four officers responsible for assessing and collecting corporate tax receipts.

Key responsibilities

• Applying the taxes legislation
• Conducting compliance checks and collecting revenue
• Developing and updating tax policies
• Leading on legislative changes

Required profile

• Proven track record in tax, ideally corporation tax
• One of the following qualifications: HMRC Tax Professional Development Programme (Tax Specialist Programme), Chartered Tax Advisor, or a professional accountancy qualification
• Adaptable, team player and able to maintain confidentiality
• Sense of adventure is an advantage

What we offer

• Salary range £48,000 – £65,000 per year, dependent on qualifications and experience
• Eligibility for a 25% gratuity paid upon successful completion of the contract
