Freelance Face Image Collection for Machine Learning

About the role

We are looking for freelancers to help build a large, diverse dataset of facial images for machine‑learning research and facial‑recognition model training at TELUS. You will capture current neutral selfies, directed head‑pose photos, and historical images to reflect real‑world variation in lighting, pose, expression, accessories, environments, and aging.

Key responsibilities

• Take and submit a minimum of 20 high‑quality neutral selfies.
• Capture additional selfies following assigned head‑direction guidelines.
• Provide older photographs from personal galleries to represent natural aging.
• Ensure each image meets strict automated and manual quality‑control standards.
• Submit up to 30 images to increase the likelihood of having at least 24 accepted.

Required profile

• No specific education required.
• Access to a smartphone or camera capable of clear facial capture.
• Ability to use a Gmail address as the primary account for project communication.
• Willingness to follow detailed image‑submission guidelines.
