Electrician – Direct Services Reactive Repairs

About the role

We are seeking skilled, reliable electricians to join our Direct Services Reactive Repairs team. You will play a key role in keeping homes safe, compliant and well‑maintained for our residents, delivering high‑quality electrical repairs, maintenance and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of electrical repairs, maintenance and testing across multiple properties.
• Manage your own daily workload using a ‘right first time’ approach.
• Communicate with residents throughout the job to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Participate in a 24‑hour emergency call‑out rota on a fair, planned basis.
• Support different locations as required, working field‑based.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent).
• Knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g., 2391) or willingness to obtain it.
• Proven experience in electrical repairs, maintenance and testing in a similar environment.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and electrical compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work sensitively with residents.
• Flexible, proactive attitude and willingness to work evenings/weekends with notice.
• Full UK driving licence (≤6 points) with at least two years driving experience.
