Maintenance Supervisor – Falkland Islands

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Mechanical Maintenance Team on the British Forces South Atlantic Islands (BFSAI) estate in the Falkland Islands. You will ensure that planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual, statutory and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the Mechanical Maintenance Team, allocating PPM and reactive tasks.
• Coordinate maintenance activities across multiple disciplines to meet service delivery requirements.
• Act as department lead during periods when the Maintenance Manager is unavailable.
• Plan and schedule specialist contractor visits and statutory inspections.
• Collaborate with the Helpdesk and PPM Team to prioritise workloads and allocate resources.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a facilities management or defence environment.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team and manage workloads.
• Knowledge of statutory health and safety obligations and industry best practice.
• Ability to work in a remote, dynamic setting and adapt to changing priorities.
